What would life be without music??  The preceding question is more than simple rhetoric for H2O founder Monotone Jones.  The North Carolina “philo~lyricist” joined forces with producer Sean “Klass” Dorsey in ‘07.
Since their encounter in mid ‘07 “Klass” and “Mono” have recorded 100’s of songs together.  The name “H2O” (Hip Hop Offiliates) seems to fit these two like a glove.  With “Klass D” ( Hydrogen (H) ) providing the tracks, and “Mono” ( Oxygen (O) ) engineering the vibe... the resulting sound is  ~  undeniable FLOW.
Recognizing the lack of true emcees and  pure Hip Hoppers that exist within society, H2O represents the “Golden ‘90s Era” to the fullest. The groups biggest influences include: A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Wu Tang Clan, Reflection Eternal (Hi-Tek & Kweli), B.D.P.,  EPMD & Gangstarr.  Fully content with simply creating good quality music for the masses, H2O is more concerned with preserving the sounds of Hip Hop rather than catapulting into stardom and further sacrificing an amazing heritage.
The group began networking and collaborating with other artists and released it’s second compilation album “Strictly Flows pt.2” in May of 2012 (available @soundcloud.com/theh2ocrew).
